Surrey mother and son starved dog and face ban

A mother and son have been banned from keeping animals for five years after starving Barley, a Staffordshire bull terrier.Eileen, 58, and Paul Wright, 37 of Tyndalls, Hindhead, were each sentenced to 12-month community orders, 70 hours of unpaid work, and were both ordered to pay £150 towards costs and £60 victim surcharge.The pair, who were sentenced at Redhill Magistrates' Court on Tuesday were also disqualified from keeping animals for five years.
